| Summary: |
|
|
| Corner Marshal is a part-time, seasonal position that will require training in flagging and communications. The Flagger communicates with an event operating steward (race control) via a radio headset, and displays track conditions using a combination of colored flags and hand signals. The Flagger's primary objective is to provide information to the drivers about the track conditions ahead. |

| Duties: |
|
|
Flagging:
- Learn and understand road racing flagging rules, including rules for car and motorcycle racing
- Learn and understand radio communications protocol
- Learn and understand the proper use of fire extinguishers
- Learn and understand proper safety rules as applied to flagging
- Learn and maintain a working knowledge of race formats for both automobile and motorcycle events
- Participate in ongoing training to include CPR and first-aid training and recertification
- Lean the proper use and maintenance of all radio, flags and other flagging equipment
- Staffed a defined corner station during all on-track sessions for your assigned shift
- Ensure that all radio and flag equipment is properly accounted for and returned at end of each shift
- Prior experience and/or training in road race flagging and communications is a plus, but not required
- Other duties as assigned
Other:
- Be a prompt and reliable employee
- Comply with company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook
- Arrive for each shift with a clean, pressed all-white uniform (pants & shirt) and a clean and professional appearance
- Be able to work a variety of hours, shifts, holidays and weekends
- Have transportation to and from work
- Have a valid driver's license

To perform the job successfully, an individual must
- Be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to work outside for long periods of time
- Able to work varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school degree or GED.
- Must be able to pass a background screening
